Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

We like sour cream sugar cookies because they stay soft. We're anti crispy cookie in this family. Here are the Halloween cookies we decorated for a family project last weekend. Dana decided to go a more sculptural route...

1 cup sugar
1cup butter
1cup sour cream
1/2 t vanilla
1 t almond extract
1 egg
5 cups flour
1 t BP
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract, sour cream, BP, baking soda, and salt. Add flour 1 cup at a time. Refrigerate overnight. Roll and cut out shapes. Bake at 400* on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes. Let cool, frost with butter cream frosting.
