Jumbo Banana Cookies

A submission by the one and only Kim F. (mi mama) 2.25 C flour  1 C shortening 1 C sugar 2 lg eggs 1 C mashed banana's 1/2 C buttermilk 1 t vanilla 1 1/2 t soda 1/2 t salt 1 C chopped nuts Cream shortening & sugar. Add eggs one at the time (as Paula says) add in mashed banana's & buttermilk Mix all dry indredients (excluding the nuts) add into wet mixture a 1/2 C at the time. Vanilla & nuts last! Drop by HEAPING Tbls. on to cooking sheet. Bake @ 375 for 11-12 minutes. Watch these...they aren't supposed to get as brown as banana bread Cool and ice w/ butter cream frosting. Use a couple T buttermilk to cream your icing 3 C Powdered sugar 2-3 T buttermilk 1 C butter 1 t vanilla Whip it up!
