French Bread

1.5 tablespoons of yeast
1/2 cup of warm water
1.5 tablespoons of sugar

2 cups water
1.5 tablespoons of oil
2.25 teaspoons salt
6 cups of flour

Proof:
Mix 1/2 cup water, yeast, and sugar and let proof (sit) for 10 minutes. (It'll look like foamy beer)
Add everything else! Knead for 5 minutes
Dump it out on a floured surface, cover with a towel. Set a timer for an hour and just knead 3-4 times every 10 minutes.
Form into four loaves, brush with a beaten egg white. Make 3 slashes in the tops. Let sit for 30 minutes.
Bake at 425* for 10 minutes, turn down to 375* for another 20 minutes.
